A Bit About Us

We are Edward Roberts and Emma Hegarty. Breeders and exhibitors of Abyssinian Cavies in Brindle,Roan and Tort & White. Based in the Northamptonshire countryside.We show as Double E Stud and have our stud name Certificate from the BCC. All of our cavies are formost pets and as such we breed for temperament as well as trying to meet the show standard. Edward has been in the fancy since 1991. Emma was introduced to the hobby in 2005 by Edward and decided that the Abyssinian was the breed for her after seeing one at Welland Valley Cavy Club. In Emma`s oppinion Abyssinian cavies have the most character.At the moment we show only at local shows including Welland Valley, Nene Vally Birmingham and Peterborough.

Edward has managed to start up in self Blacks and Black English Cresteds again. So we are looking foward to some Black & Black Crested litters.

We some times have Stock For sale. As we only breed for our own needs when we need new stock to show or breed from and do not supplie to pet shops. All of our pigs that do go as pets or as show / breeding stock only go to over 18s or to accompanied children. We always give the guarantee that we will have any pigs that we sell back if for any reason you are unable to keep them. We never let Cavies go as friends to Rabbits.
